Swan Song

Yes, swans do sing! Some like the Mute Swan hardly at all ( hence the name) and some like the Whooper with an awful whooping screech! The black swan is somewhere in between!

I had to go to the Maiden's Tower this afternoon and on the way met this fellow, all by himself by the Great Water.

It was so sunny and bright and I was in a rush not to be late, that I had no time to get a decent position,but he posed so nicely it was only fair to publish him.

A busy day writing a children's bird related puzzle book and now to talk! I am a volunteer 'Buddy' for Adoption UK and am due to make a telephone call . Writing and talking! I love them both.
