Urban Bees.

Botanic gardens, Edinburgh.

Not much evidence of Spring (or bees) here just now.

Saw a fascinating exhibition about bees at the Botanics today. It's well known that bees are on the decline globally. It seems, however, that some species of wild bee are now more common in urban settings than they are in the wider countryside. All those neglected carefully cultivated wild gardens are providing a haven for them.

Phew, thank you Bumblebee Conservation Trust.
