Ghosts

This Ghost-like creature is the outer shell which has been shed by a teenage  praying mantis.. They do this to allow for growth to their full 1 - 6 inch adult length. A Praying Mantis is a great insect to have in your garden as they eat most other insects but don't harm the vegetation.
 I placed this Praying Mantis shell  on some stones which contain fossils of sea shells; ghosts from another time.
