Wideangle Wednesday: Distortion

First of all the answers to my blip guess who etc from yesterday. It was the bronze statue of Arnold Schwarzenegger, recently moved to its new location in Columbus, Ohio - now outside the central entrance to the main Concourse at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
The generous man behind the statue was Dr Bob Goldman, founder of the International Sports Hall of Fame. Some of the answers were pretty good.

Today here is my entry to Hobb's latest challenge, Wideangle Wednesday: Distortion. This shot was taken inside the Battelle Grand Hall at the Columbus Convention and Expo complex. The photo is straight from the camera and sadly I can see very little distortion at the sides, although my lens was at its full wide angle position. But I am sure it was doing its best to add some distortion!

The light panels in the ceiling are all controlled by the lighting operator, just barely visible in the centre of the photo.

This Hall will seat 3000+ people and the lighting guy was testing out some of his settings. I caught one person in the aisle which gives some depth to the shot. Flash and lots of ISO did the trick as it was quite dark when this was taken. I will be seeing a lot of this place over the next 4 days.
Note that every seat had to be individually tagged with a seat code number as the place is booked out. BTW Arnie will be there on Friday and Saturday night to hand out the overall awards.
