In search of greenery….

Yesterday I decided to go the Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh in search of foliage and greenery for some infra-red  photography. As I drove in to Edinburgh I noticed that there was absolutely no leaves to be seen in the hedgerows and trees either side of the A1. I knew there would be some greenery in the Botanics but was unsure how well it would photograph  in IR. Although I have been to the Botanics in Winter previously I was surprised to see just how littler vegetation there was around. Most of the pines and monkey puzzle trees appear as a light grey in IR but I did manage to find some trees that gave interesting shades of white. and there also a few patches of blue in the sky which gave some drama.
