Brave Hellebore

A breezy day with occasional sun.

A quiet day today so that I am strong enough for our visit to the Davis Cup Tennis in Glasgow tomorrow.

In our garden we have a few hellebore struggling to lift their heads up, especially as they are very low down. This one is resting its head on a small piece of dead branch. I found it difficult to get the numerous stamen as sharply focused as I would have liked.

I am thoroughly enjoying the latest series of House of Cards - it probably is one of the best drama shows around, in my opinion - frighteningly real and up to date.
