Evening hoon

I'm not exactly a fair weather biker, but winter ice and road-salt don't enthuse me. The onset of warmer weather brings an irresistible urge to get out on two wheels, and this evening I gave in - just for an hour or so.

On the way back I realised I was short of blippage, and stopped outside The Ram Inn, in Wotton under Edge. This pub will surely get a revisit for Mono Monday or Derelict Thursday, and is well known amongst aficionados of spookiness as one of the, if not the, most haunted buildings in Britain.

The Ram Inn was built in 1145, and has a backstory replete with burning witches (actually we didn't do a lot of witch burning in England, we hanged them; burning was a continental thing), leyline intersections and pre-Christian burial grounds. It's a wonder Morrigan didn't ride herself off into the sunset...

Again, only the iPhone, and this time in panoramic mode - hence the distortion. In vignetted sepia it almost looks like a postcard picture.
