Seaplane

I live in a part of the country which is about as far from the sea as it is possible to get, and there are no substantial lakes nearby. Consequently, the last thing I would expect to see would be a seaplane. But see one I did! After a very good lunch with friends I was driving back past the local airfield and saw this. A few enquiries on Google lead me to think it is normally based at Loch Lomond in Scotland, some 380 miles away, and is probably here for servicing and maintenance.

I'm no expert but based on my enquiries I believe it is a Cessna 208 Caravan and was used in the opening ceremony of the last Commonwealth Games when it landed on the Clyde to deliver the baton.
