Trevor Horn Band live

A great night for me (Chris) at Shepherds Bush Empire watching the Trevor Horn Band with a good friend. I'm never sure how many people have heard of Trevor but you might know him through his work as a musician (Yes or The Buggles - Video Killed the Radio Star most famously). He followed that with the creation of legendary record label ZTT and he was responsible for producing all manner of hits from the mid 1980's (Frankie Goes to Hollywood, ABC, Dollar) right through to today.

His band last night comprised of some crack musicians including Lol Creme from 10CC as well as another great producer Steve Lipson. As well as the three great band vocalists we had special appearances from Gabrielle Aplin, Ella Eyre, Mr Probz and a few words from Seal who was due to sing but was recovering from the flu. The material played included many tracks from Trevor's performance and production career including the biggest Frankie Goes to Hollywood hits which still sounded great.  There were also a couple of 10CC tracks thrown in along the way and the guest vocalists each performed at least one of their own hits.

It was a great evening, the musicians lived up to billing and Trevor was engaging with his hugely appreciative audience.
