Performing Arts

I'm working this weekend with the Atlas Performing Arts Center in D.C. during their annual festival. I photographed several performances today, my favorite being this dance group, called Movieus. With physical movement inspired by how ice melts, dancers, complemented by mixed media and photographs, probed one of the most important concerns of our times - climate change. 

While most of my images on those performances will be full color, I liked the geometry of the movements here, as well as the intersection of light and shadow. Lots of pictures to go through from today and more coming tomorrow from a day that'll start at 10:30am and end at 10:30pm… I'm looking forward to it all :)
