A Year Through My Eyes

Random night filled with plastic bags

23.05.12

We started the day with a brisk ish coastal walk around some stunning coast line to see a seal colony who were tucked away in a bay sunbathing.

We then proceeded to travel south down the west coast stopping in Greymouth to collect supplies for tonights themed night.......fancy dress in plastic bags.

When we arrived at or destination for the night a hostel at Lake Mahinapua, in the middle of nowhere we realised why this was the place the random themed night was planned for. Owned by a cranky old bean (who cooked pretty good steak) the venue was off the beaten track enough to not look weird walking round in our plastic creations!

There was everything from nuns to gimps with a few spartans and barbies thrown in for good measure.

This blip however was taken at lake mahinapua pre plastic....how many times can you get in a panoramic?
