Sun day

So here we sit. The sun has gone down. There is music to the left of us (party mode) & music to the right (reggae). The waves are lapping the shore as the tide slowly creeps up the sand. The boats on the water are numerous, moored after another day out exploring the reefs nearby, ready to do it again tomorrow. One of them with us onboard. The fishing boats are anchored about 6000m off-shore lighting the horizon. People are meandering along the beach in search of a place to eat or drink.

We flew over this morning from Manila to ElNido....its a little known pocket here in the SouthChinaSea, belonging to the Philippines & is growing exponentially - and possibly too fast for its own good... Thanks in part to CebuPacific opening up more long haul corridors for people wanting tropical holidays in lesser known locations.

There are enough first world perks to make it comfortable, but not so many that you actually feel like you are at home.

A wonderful history & some great places to explore over the next few days before we move to our next beaches.

A few swims. A few drinks. A wander around 'town' & a massage.
