River of Flowers

Exotic Bed ...

... of herbs and salads, ha ha :-)

This is the third of my veggie beds in the sheltered part of the garden behind the garage. I prepared it yesterday and the blackbirds had lots of fun scratching for worms.

Just like GOD I've started lots of seeds off in pots and now need to plant them into the soil.

In this little bed are
- the herb DILL
- more CALENDULA to attract insects and maybe in salads
- short row of FLAT BOTTOMED BEETROOT because they're supposed to be more reliable
- WELSH ONIONS which are perennial, we'll see!
- a type of radish which you allow to flower then eat it's seed pods
- a heritage variety of pea called KENT BLUE which is similar to the Purple Podded Pea

If anything survives to maturity it may feature in future blips!

Hope everyone is having a sunny, warm and relaxing weekend :-)
