Spurred in to action

Lunch today in the Spurriergate Centre, York. Formerly St Michael's Church - this converted church has been serving refreshments for over 25 years and I often call in for a coffee (and cake I'm afraid to admit). The upstairs area affords close inspection of some of the ancient stained glass. I particularly like the borders and the colours in this section are glorious - the photo doesn't really do the window justice. The street got its name because of the 15th century spur makers who worked in this area, although parts of the church date back to the 12th century.
