A Day of Surprises

I was very surprised and  happy to see these lovely early flowering Rhododendrons in Bitts Park in Carlisle.  I was even more surprised a few hours later to get a call from the doctor who I'd visited that morning for various blood tests, to be told to get myself down to the hospital for a blood transfusion as I was extremely anaemic which accounts for why I've been feeling so unwell recently.   So had a very unexpected stay at the hospital in Carlisle having lots of blood put into me, a bit of a shock to say the least.  My neighbours were very kind and gave me a lift and told me not to worry about Misty and Sasha :)
