Curves of the Estuary

It's Wide Angle Wednesday with the theme being leading line. Thanks to hobbs for hosting this challenge.

The contour of this part of the estuary is strongly outlined with its green rushes and blonde grasses and a meandering stream of water flowing to a braided part of the adjoining river. There is a pause before the eye follows the river right back to the sand dunes taking in the vastness of the area before gently resting on the distant hills and sky above. In between the sand dunes and the hills lies the Pacific Ocean which can't be seen from here or perhaps only when viewed in large.

A changeable day as we woke to a heavy sky, a chill in the air and then mid-afternoon the clouds drifted off leaving this lovely blue sky with the sun beating down.

I enjoyed the company of my mum, walkingS, talking about 'wide angle Wednesday' and leading lines, strolling at the estuary, enjoying pumpkin soup and carrot cake over lunch and then our usual grocery shop. Mum is giving the challenge a go today and managed to get her shot on the way home.

Lovely way to spend our day, happy Wednesday everyone :)
