Taken at 928 as she lay on my lap on the hall landing after a coughing fit. Uncle Simon sending funny faces from Fiji made her smile, but she could only manage to return a small smile with sad eyes. She fell back asleep soon after.

She's had one of those days in some respects. She woke up the wrong way out, fought with her friend on the way into school, had a grump at homework time. Cried before swimming because she was late to start as she'd forgotten to go hrs the toilet. Cried near the end because she had a panic about diving from the higher side. Cried at the end because she panicked about jumping off the starting blocks. Both of which she's done many times before. Yet on the way home, she told me at school she had been on the happy face twice today and had been helping her friends with a couple of problems. She was asleep by 615, but awake crying then coughing by 9, Being 5 is very hard sometimes.
