Sunrise

As the sun was about to peek above the horizon I saw a movement from the corner of my eye and when I looked it was this big bloom bursting open!  What a gorgeous sight!!   It's the orchid cactus or epiphyllum oxypetalum!

The extreme heat returned today and gave us 38c which was awful!! Tonight it's cooler and will be possibly raining and cooler tomorrow and definitely cooler with a lot of rain on Saturday. There is a large cyclone to the north of us and although it won't come too far south we will get the wind and the rain from its outer edges!

Just a link to the local news on the progress of the cyclone. Some towns have reported damage but overall its not too bad....
