Derelict Thursday: Flood Residue

In September 2013 the front range and eastern plains of Colorado had terrible flooding due to very heavy rain that continued for days.  We were lucky to be located in a neighborhood not effected by it.  The small town of Lyons, about 10 miles away, just at the base of the foothills, had incredible damage from which they are still trying to recover.  My blip today shows the path of the water and the devastation it caused to a mobile home park.  The homes were lifted from their foundations and carried by the water along with other debris and sediment that can be seen here.  The one on the right is half buried in sediment.  It's still so sad to see and I felt a little guilty taking pictures.  There is more information about the flood here if you are interested.

Thanks to Freespiral for hosting the challenge.
