Boiler Bandits!

Colin and Peter came back today to fix my boiler again.  Since the repair 10 days ago more damage has come to light so a big fix is needed.  They are a great team, prompt, reliable, good at their work.  Affordable but not cheap - but who wants cheap when your home comfort is at risk?   Seems since the boiler was put in 5 years ago the local water supply has been switched from a soft water input in South Durham to a hard water supply near Sunderland and consequently we now have a limescale problem.  The heat exchanger has scaled up and has to be replaced and a water softener is being fitted.  And no, I can't sue the Water Board, I've checked - their only responsibility is to supply suitable drinking water.  Ah well, at least Christmas is out of the way.
