Rain!!!

This is probably of very little importance or excitement to anyone looking at my journal today but to me it is so exciting!!  We have had over 12 hours of delicious soaking rain, thanks to tropical Cyclone Olwyn!  Unfortunately, Exmouth and Carnarvon on our NW coast, suffered quite severe damage from the strong winds and flooding, tidal surges and heavy rain.  However, we have , so far, just had beautiful, steady rain - wonderful.
You can see from the image just how dry the land is.  I hope this is the break in the season we have all been waiting for.  Its been a long, hot summer........................
