Conflict

Most large towns and cities in the UK have a memorial to those from that place that have been awarded the Victoria Cross, this is Bradford's.

As an historical text, it also tells us something of Britain's conflicts since the mid Nineteenth Century: Crimea, India, France, North Africa, Malaysia... 

Today I was struck by the effect of the lighting in the early evening, almost as if the flame of a candle has been painted onto the stone.
