Catching The Light

Grey and dismal but just at the right moment the sun broke through the stormy grey clouds and struck the mast, lighting it for just for a few minutes. Such a prominent and iconic landmark standing 1265 feet overlooking the surrounding countryside, can be seen for miles around.

Up north to West Yorkshire for Mother's Day weekend and back to our favourite restaurant the 3 Acres, under the mast at Emley Moor for a terrific lunch. The kids motored up too, so lovely to have our family together for the day and very grateful.

#1 daughter came in clutching a fabulous fruit gateaux for Mother's Day which looks divine and which we will all tuck into shortly!! Off tonight to see the Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel with Mum and Dad. What a great day!

Apologies for getting behind with my commenting as I've a lot on my plate at the moment (not just the gateaux) but hope to catch up next week.
