Pentecost!

Privileged to assist a friend in leading worship this Pentecost Sunday, and be assisted in leading Communion.

The liturgical colour for Pentecost, the coming of the Holy Spirit, is red, and the pulpit falls and other hangings reflect this. Worshippers also wore red to mark the day.

I wore my red PhD gown for the first time since I got it, which looked great, but midway through I became aware of my neck and shoulders - the weight of cassock, gown, hood and stole was more than I was used to!
