A Thousand a Day

By Daver64

It's all about the pace.

Once a month at our parkrun, we have pacers who aim to get round as closely as possible to a target time. Today I had the job of making 24 minutes. I always like to cross the line a few seconds ahead. If someone is chasing hard, but doesn't quite get to the line ahead of me, it's lovely to tell them that they've still made their target. So, 23:53 is so much better than 24:01, I think.

Today there were three runners around me who all got 23:5* for their times and achieved PBs by breaking 24 minutes for the first time.

Job done :o))

My commenting pace is sadly inadequate at the moment. I will accelerate.
