The Love Child Chronicles

Corn

Spring is on its way in the northeastern United States.

Today, I discovered corn snow on my windshield.

It made me wax poetic about skiing at Greek Peak in this icy matter. It has its good points and bad, but was always an indication that ski season was coming to a close.

As I held the corn in my hand, it melted and dripped onto my shoes.

I wish I had snapped this photo sooner, as it was crunchy and granular when I snatched it off the glass. Loving memories sparked into my brain.

I could hear my skis cutting through the crisp particles of first morning runs, and feel the weight of my jeans after slurping through it in the afternoon sun.

What a great sensation.
