Primroses

I was so sorry to read that Blipfoto has gone into liquidation - such a very sad day for all the staff who have put such a lot of time and effort into trying to make it work and whose livelihoods depend on it. And a sad loss for all of us, who've made such a lot of friends on here. I hope that the site can be salvaged but it cannot work on goodwill alone - to survive there must be a realistic way of making a profit.

Coming back to British weather has been a bit of a shock to the system, but today I braved the cold and went for a walk through the local woods. The primroses are now in full bloom, and the first sweet violets are also emerging. Buds are bursting on many of the shrubs and tees, and I saw a long-tailed tit carrying nesting material. The natural world continues, oblivious of the vicissitudes of human endeavour.
