Home (again)

Looking down with a certain fondness on my French home town now that I have returned from Spain.  We took a drive up the hill that dominates the landscape and which is crowned by the Tours St. Laurent which, when floodlit, seem suspended in the sky on dark nights.

Having left 24C behind us in Andalucia, it feels as if the south-west of France is still in the grips of winter - 8C when we arrived, though it climbed to a sterling 17C today.

So much to do and so little time before we leave again on Saturday for the annual Paris book fair, where I am signing on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
