Riding high

Carl and I lunched in La Cave yesterday and drowned a shamrock or two afterwards. It was after 10:30 by the time the taxi dropped us off in Glasthule, too late to pick up a takeaway from the fabulous Bombay Pantry. Fortunately, Jewel in the Crown delivers until 11:00, and they graciously agreed to feed us.

Having rather overdone it yesterday, the actual Patrick's Day proved to be a gentle affair, with brunch and an old black and white movie on TV being the size of it before I DARTed in to town and stopped off in Custom House Quay where a 'funfair' had been set up for the four-day Festival. Silly green hats were everywhere, people generally were in good form, and the sillier of them were queueing up for the scariest rides, of which this was the greatest height of upside-down madness.

I didn't partake. Back home I lazed around, catching up with recorded TV and a bit of Netflix and knuckling down to some work on the re-design of the music group web site.
