Feeling Ruff

Technophobe and I visited the Sewing for Pleasure at the NEC today.
This ruff was one of the entries in a competition, and was absolutely exquisite.
We had a great day, lovely tasty muffins healthy snacks, and came home feeling as though we'd done a hard day's work. We even managed a delightful tour of Warwickshire because the road signs on exiting the NEC were so useless. We didn't swear, just admired the scenery.
It was a bit disappointing that there wasn't more actual sewing. There were loads of stands with felt work, beading, making jewellery, cards etc, but we would like to have seen a bit more actual dressmaking bits and pieces. That's what WE would have liked anyway. I'm sure other people would disagree, and say there was too much dressmaking stuff. I suppose you can't please 'em all.
