The Thieves

I happened upon this in one of the car parks this morning. A crow was flying overhead followed by two more. Crow number 1 had a bread roll in his beak, it was clearly too big for him to hang on to under the duress of the chase and he dropped it!

The peacock who at the time appeared to be making his way towards the black car for a peck. Oh yes, Every spring LC will have to pay compensation to at least one black car owner because peacocks just love to look at themselves in the form of the reflection, assume it is a rival and then beat life out of it with his beak.

In this instance bread roll was obviously more appealing and he belted to the spot. One of the crows was brave enough to try and rescue it from him, but soon gave up. I snapped a couple of photos with my phone and left the peacock to the breakfast he had stolen from the crow, who had probably stolen it from a guest!

I loved the unity of yesterday's #saveblipfoto and want to say thank you to all the people who made it possible. The picture and film are amazing.
