Late Afternoon light

Taken on a short walk after a challenging afternoon and the light was quite stunning.  A light mist was settled in the valley and the low light of the sun was adding a golden glow and the lamb nursery were frolicking by the fence.  I felt better after my walk but my printmaking session simply didn't happen a planned.

An afternoon that began with cleaning upstairs ended with me having to fight to ensure that mum's longstanding hospital appointment for another debilitating condition wasn't cancelled at the last minute (like 3.30pm the day before she was due to go).  So much has been hanging on this hospital visit and thank goodness the admin clerk who rang was able to find us an alternative today.  Actually we ended up with two appointments but that's another story.  (It leaves me wondering why she has had to wait this long and  if she could have been fitted in sooner.  We had talked about the urgency to the nurses on the clinic to try and see if there were earlier appointments.)  We're just keeping our fingers crossed that things work out today - our big fear is that it won't!
