Just as the weather is getting warmer...

... three guys spent most of the day installing a multi-fuel stove in our living room and lining and insulating the chimney.

Although the open fire was nice to look at, it burned a lot of wood and sent most of the heat up the chimney. Since the central heating doesn't really heat the living room either, and what heat it did bring was drawn up the open chimney, a stove seemed the best solution.

It's also good to know that we can heat one room in the house without gas or electricity.

Fortunately we had a warm-ish day today since the front and inner doors were open for hours - and a decent day to be working on top of a roof. Would have been good to get out, myself, but I've got a lot of work to do so was stuck indoors.
