Crazy Taxi

I checked out of my hotel and left my bag at Nick & Liv's hostel. We walked around for a while and sat in a few cafes hiding from the heat. While there are definitely lots of modern buildings and businesses around Yangon, there are also run-down areas like this strange swamp right in the middle of the city.

At 6pm we got a taxi north to the bus station and our driver decided to weave in and out of traffic like it was a race, doing the hour journey in just 40 minutes. Our night bus to Bagan was great and although there weren't beds, the reclining seats were really comfortable.
