Petworth House

Today is Mr. T's birthday and we woke to the most beautiful day this morning.  The sun was streaming into the breakfast room as the birthday presents were opened.
After playing a long game of frisbee with the boys we set off to meet eldest son and grand-daughter at the National Trust Petworth House. We decided to leave the door open into the garden as it was such a lovely day.  However,  by the time we arrived the sun had disappeared and the temperature had plummeted.
We headed straight for the coffee shop and had a coffee and cakes.  The National Trust are now so much better for young children and Amelia was delighted with the task of finding the hidden puppy in each of the rooms. They also provide children's cupboards with dressing up clothes or lego to keep young ones occupied.
We had lunch, a walk around the town, playtime in the grounds and then it was time to go home.  I have to say I was freezing by this time and was bitterly regretting having left the back door open.
I have now thawed out and am watching The Voice.
We are travelling to Cardiff tomorrow.
