Meet the skies

A beautiful Spring day today, made all the better by not having a big pile of work to do for a change on a Sunday. General pottering around this morning after a walk, a food shop and then an invite after lunch for a walk by the river with the bestest friend. These barley stalks cross the path with a Lady of Shallot quote at their base: On either side the river lie, long fields of barley and of rye that clothe the wold and meet the sky. And the Lincolnshire skies were definitely at their best this afternoon.

A check up on the official Bailey sitter (not seen for a whole week) and the injured favourite person whose injury will hopefully not get in the way of his holiday with Bailey - and the rest of us of course.

Five days to go with one day out on my course and no students in on Friday. That feels doable, particularly if this weather continues and follows us South West.
