Clouds

12.0C with long sunny spells and wispy white clouds. Moderate breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk after lunch. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore. The amazing clouds caught my attention almost as much as the sea today.

We turned right at the bottom of the track, walked along the cycle path and along the shore road then went over the road bridge over the railway to have a closer look at the sea from the beach at Westhaven. The tide was in and the sea was calm and blue.

We came back over the road bridge over the railway line and then back up the main road and round to home.

When we got home I went out into the front garden and pruned a couple of shrubs just outside the living room window, then pruned a fuchsia in the small border near the front door. At this time of year I always run out of space in the garden recycling bin for all the prunings. I have added some bigger branches to the pile in a corner of the back garden beside a fence and behind a huge buddleia, which has golden ball flowers later in the year, where we have left branches before for wildlife to use as cover in the winter.
