Crescent Moonscape over Rooksbury Mill

also an entry to Wide-angle Wednesday - hosted this week by Hobbs

Disappointed that my last two backdated have not reached the Popular pages, despite one receiving more than twice the number of Hearts than the current no 1 (Thankyou SO much, all of you!)

Therefore, I am posting on the actual day. Let's get this muther-photo up to the Top of the most Popular and show everybody that the Sarum Stroller is BACK, doing what only HE can, Strolling around Sarum, er, rather, Andover, in this case, in the DARK! (and freezing it was too!).

As they say, you know what to do!

Proof! Almost immediately, now up on page 3 of the Popular. Thank you all so much for proving my point! You are all wonderful, cheers!

Looks SO much better LARGE

Rooksbury Mill is one mile south of Andover town centre, on the River Anton. The railway station is a good mile north of the town centre, so once again, yet another long walk back in the dark.

Info on Rooksbury Country park is http://www.testvalley.gov.uk/resident/communityandleisure/naturereserves/rooksbury-mill-local-nature-reserve-andover/

Despite the EXIF data showing 18mm lens, it was in fact an old (32 yr old) Tamron SP 17mm f3,5 Adaptall lens (on FX D700). Nikon cameras don't have a 17mm option in their "non-cpu lens" data bank and 18mm is the closest.
