Pacific Coast Highway, California

I arrived in San Francisco late afternoon today.  A friend picked me up from the airport so we could go to dinner before dropping me off at my hotel in the city.

We drove south down Pacific Coast Highway and watched the sunset.  I'm standing on the Devil's Slide, a steep coastal promontory, overlooking Grey Whale Cove State Beach, between Pacifica and Montara.

For a few more pictures, check out my Flickr album.
I've included some shots of an interesting WW2 military triangulation station and observation site, which is right behind me as I took this picture.
