San Francisco North Beach

It was a sunny and hot day in San Francisco - a little unusual for a city that is known more for its fog!

I wandered around 'Little Italy' or North Beach, stopping at Cafe Puccini for a cappuccino and biscotti .  This is the Saints Peter and Paul Church, overlooking Washington Square.  It has been featured in popular culture, including Clint Eastwood's 'Dirty Harry' and in the movie 'Sister Act 2'.

Later I walked along the waterfront at Crissy Field with beautiful views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

I ended up at Chinatown where I had a half hour to wander around before getting ready to head back to London.
