Forest encounters

The beautiful Forest of Dean was where I spent most of today. Our driving route in a new four-wheel-drive estate version of the Seat Leon included some mild off-roading on Forestry Commission tracks.

Deep in the lush woodland, we chanced upon this delightful quartet: two charming ladies practising their competitive carriage driving with a beautifully behaved pony and a very happy natured dog. We stopped for a friendly chat, before going our separate ways.
