Remembered

We went to the interment of ashes of a dear lady who used to attend our church. Lesley's funeral was up in Essex yesterday (where she had moved to be nearer family) and it wasn't feasible for us to go, so we were very glad to take part in the special service at Durrington Cemetery where her ashes were interred in her husband's grave. Her two sons and daughter-in-law attended, together with about a dozen of us from church. I took my guitar and we sang one of her favourite songs at the graveside - "Wonderful grace". It was a very short event, but it was good to meet up with the family to remember a special lady. Our son came along too as she used to teach him in Sunday School and he was very fond of her. I used to go to the home group that she led some years ago. A very dedicated, determined and prayerful lady. I am so glad that we were able to visit her on the way back from holiday last July.
