Postcard from Christchurch

I wasn't sure if I would get out for a walk today as there were to have been some heavy showers.. the only shower we had was first thing this morning.
The day turned really warm and I even got sunburnt walking around the city.

The shots top left and bottom right are of the new RSA building that opened this weekend. It replaces the replaces the 1920s-era RSA building that was torn down due to earthquake damage. 

I was able to help the tourist you can see walking beside the ballerina mural as she was lost and looking for the information centre.

On all New Zealanders minds just now is the Cricket world cup final between New Zealand and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground!
