Cream for a Day

That's our Raspberry, 9 years young today, licking her birthday cream.

The sun is out today, glistening on a fresh skiff of snow, beautiful, but I'm sick of looking to be truthful. We're spending a quiet weekend. The funeral service for T's nephew is tomorrow, just an impossibly hard day.

Eight years ago today we sadly discovered that my mother had died sometime the evening before from a sudden and massive heart attack at 85. Some of those funeral arrangements fell on my birthday which is coming around again next week. Raspberry and I are both Aries.

For the Record,
This day came in with bright sun and a fresh coating of snow. It seems like such a struggle to spring this year.

All hands healing
