Lamium 'White Nancy'

Fairly bright this morning but cold. I weeded round an old tree trunk which is an expired horse chestnut. It's fairly close to the house and I put Muscari and fritillaria in there for spring interest, as well as tulips. There's not much depth to the soil because of the old tree roots but the spring bulbs are thriving and hopefully will soon flower. Light rain after lunch but we kept going. CH is putting netting round our raised vege beds and I planted out some very healthy looking spinach plants. I watered them in despite the steadily increasing downpour. Two very soggy people came in at 4 for tea and apple pie.
This Lamium 'White Nancy' is another ground cover plant, which has stunning pure white hooded flowers amidst dense mats of silvery grey foliage, lightly edged in green. Hopefully it will be dense enough to suppress weeds.
