Hold On To Your Hats!

Day two of our Lake District Photographic Holiday and time to decide where to go. The group split into two with Phil, Rachel, Liz and Clive heading off to Crummock Water and me, Mick, Steve, Wes, Wail and TeeJay winding our way to Manesty Woods at the south end of Derwent Water.

It was, cold, very windy, intermittent wet and dry and absolutely magnificent. The light was changing by the minute and a real challenge to keep the camera dry and the tripod upright! But the scenery was still amazing.

We first set up on the banks of the Derwent and soon felt the full force of the wind as it whipped up the water. I was lucky enough to release the shutter and capture this image before the lens got completely covered in spray.

We stayed til gone three then headed back to Fern Howe, which has given me plenty of time to select ten pictures from the day for this evening's review with John and the rest of the group, and also to catch up with my blips.

A shower and change now ready for dinner. You certainly don't come on this holiday to lose weight!
