Braemar

The Fred Olsen line cruise ship in Invergordon having sailed from Kirkwall in the Orkneys overnight. Taken from the Black Isle and looking north over the Cromarty Firth. Invergordon not exactly a prime tourist destination so once the 929 passengers have disembarked the bus companies make a fortune taking them somewhere better. Perhaps Drumnadrochit's Real Loch Ness Monster Exhibition. No, I jest. The town has quite a busy diary for cruise visits this year so is clearly popular with the lines and I expect there will be a good range of excursions. Many of the ships are quite a big bigger than the Braemar but never having been or a cruise, or wanting to, I'm not sure whether that's a good or bad thing. In the shot the main part of the town is just out of frame to the left.
