Calm Before the Storm

Edinburgh Airport hadn't (yet) reached pandemonium level for the Easter holidays.

Mind you, their security folk decided an ice hockey puck in my bag could be suspicious. 10 minute wait to let them search the bag.

Germany had been traumatised by storms on Tuesday, and the weather was still wild on Wednesday, so arriving in Munich only 10 minutes late was a relief.

We'd left 35 minutes late, but with a 120mph following wind we'd surfed along at a brisk speed and made up time.

We landed in a snowstorm, but it wasn't lying.
