Anemone Blanda Blue

The journey back home last night started off fine, left just before 7. It was still light and dry. Made good time on the A34, but by the time we got to the M40, dark and rainy! The latter half of the journey was tough. Narrow lanes on the motorways, lots of artics hogging slow and middle lanes, leaving not a lot of space! It was a bit like driving through a car wash whilst passing them, not the best driving conditions Ive ever driven in :-/ anyhow, home before 11, unpacked the car in exactly the same conditions we packed it in, got wet through again! We got a great nights sleep, woke up after 9, disgraceful, I know ;-)

The winds had blown over the trellis panels we left propped up against the back of the house, so their weight was resting on our rose arch, which is now leaning at about 10 to, rather than vertical!

The plants we bought before we went away are all fine, and we've now added to them those we bought whilst down south, so there is some planning and planting to be done!

This is one of 3 new anemones we bought, we have lots of white ones that have spread over the years. I want to create a patch of blue ones, so hopfully these will spread too! I just love their colour!

Quiz and mega Easter Raffle tonight....really hope we don't win lots of chocolate, I'm not strong willed, so don't buy it :-)

Hope everyone is looking forward to the extra long weekend break :-)
