Basket weaving

To the amusement of work colleagues and raised eyebrows of family, I went on a day's introduction to willow weaving.  I can't say I have always yearned to do this, but do have a hankering to craft a splendid reindeer for the garden at Christmas, but figured I need to try the basics first.  I think a reindeer is quite frankly beyond ambitious, but I had a a great day with my friend. Surprisingly relaxing, and great to keep your mind focused and not wandering off on the usual meanderings. The basket was not the most symmetrical item, but a huge sense of achievement.
